On this day in 1977 Elvis was found dead in his bathroom. A moment of silence please.
He was 42. Can you imagine him today, if he had lived?
Finally put the weed eater together and did some trimming. Was going to cut some grass but it rained. Too wet to cut.
Our source for nonhomogenized milk is going out of business. Guess there’s just not enough interest in healthy food around here for a place like that to make it. I tell you what would go gangbusters around here is a fried everything restaurant. Especially if they had a good funnel cake. I guess we’re all just tired of living. There’s not enough excitement in eating well and staying healthy so we opt for a slow suicide. Well, not so much suicide as a laziness towards living well. Hey, I’m including me in this so don’t give me none of that schoolyard back talk, “well, you do it too”. I know there is a lot of stuff in the foods we eat that shouldn’t be there and they are harmful to us, but who’s in control here? We don’t have to buy them or eat them. But some of it is so good. Right now I’m thinking of a doughnut from Spauldings. I would have to drive to Lexington to get one, and I’m thinking seriously about it. Who’s in? I knew it. Everyone of you jumped.
So I’m going to contemplate this dilemma through dinner and get back to you.
Scallops, risotto and green beans.

I’ve contemplated and came to a conclusion. Comfort. We’re comfortable. And comfort requires no effort as it’s usually a state we have fallen into after a time.
So, to contemplate this we took a drive down by the river after a stop at Dairy Queen. I think better with a Blizzard. A peaceful place for contemplating.
