Day 562; August 13, 2016

Well, for all of you who start your day with reading about our previous day’s adventures, sorry, running late again. Yesterday was just so adventure packed that by the time it was over I was too tired to type.

It all started with a plan as most days do, and the plan was to pick up some grocery items.  I know it sounds like all we do is eat, but in our attempt to eat healthy we try to get the freshest food available and nonGMO, free range, grass fed and non-homogenized whatever. So first trip was to the Farmer’s Market in Fannin’s parking lot, 7:00 to 2:00 Wednesday and Saturday, but when we got there there was no market nor sign of one. Apparently this is no more but someone forgot to take the sign down.

Since we got a late start and skipped breakfast we were getting a little peckish so decided to try the lunch specials at Hall of Fame. I had the Hall of Fame salad with grilled salmon and lobster bisque.

And Annie had pizza with the House Salad.

Both were good. The only drawback was the pizza and that’s only because they use a conveyor oven.  Otherwise a delicious lunch.

I forgot to mention that on the way to our lunch locale we noticed a block of downtown was cordoned off due to some sort of festival.  Upon further inquiry we found that a local shop, Superheroes T-Shirts and Creamery, which is an odd name in itself, was having a one year anniversary party.

So we stopped by.

Turns out this is a comic book/collectibles/video games/ice cream parlor.

With lots of flavors.

And what event would be complete with some superhero representatives.

Batmobile.

After the big block party we finished our running and headed home.
