8:00 am: It’s Sunday and time to go to the flea market? What is this? Some new religion? Well, for some it may be. But we had a purpose. We were on a mission. The we, in this case, were Abbey, Lindsey, Annie and myself. The mission; get the P2-USB adapter which the day before a vendor had promised to bring to the market and a capo for Lindsey.
9:30 am; Arrive at The Church of The Low Priced Treasures and Other Things We Can’t Live Without main temple on US 23. Not many parishioners worshipping today, although it’s early and surely there will be a larger crowd as the day wears on, but we have no time to waste. We are on a mission. And time is of the essence.
The vendor who promised the adapter didn’t have the right one so mission one was a bust.
Mission 2; find a capo. From the looks of things, the lack of musical instruments in the market, a capo may be hard, if not impossible to find.
For some reason, not really hard to figure out, we were drawn to a little shop that, like others in the market had a variety of merchandise including one, their last, capo in a display case in the back of the shop. Mission accomplished.
Now back to the house for lunch and an impromptu jam session.
We got some pretty good beats going this afternoon. Looking forward to our next session.
After a dinner of soup beans and cornbread Annie and I took a little drive in the country. After driving for over 100,000 miles over the past year I am happy to let someone else drive as I look at the scenery. On our trip through parts of Boyd county we encountered over 50 deer. Here are a few of the ones we saw.

Such beautiful animals. I can see why Daniel Boone was so eager to bring people to the bounty that is Kentucky.
After our drive we settled in to watch the last of the Mummy series. These are the modern ones filmed this century. The ones I like were filmed in the 1930s and star Boris Karlof as The Mummy. They don’t make them like that anymore.
Tomorrow we’re going to get our licenses changed back to Kentucky. We had to wait for new social security cards as we both lost them somewhere in all our travels. Mine arrived yesterday so now we are all set. And then maybe I can find a job driving local.
Have a blessed day all. God bless.
