Day 535; July 16,2016

Company comes to visit.

Blessed with a visit by Steve and Linda, Annie’s aunt and uncle, and Abbey and Lindsey, our nieces.

I’m sure you all have heard that family can be a blessing and a curse. Well, it’s true. While it was good to see everyone, and I truly mean that, now, the cake is gone. Every crumb.  Platter is clean.  What now?

I’m just kidding. We were happy to share the cake. Annie told me to say that. No, really, it’s fine with me. I am glad everyone enjoyed it. It was so good to see everyone eating and saying how good the cake was and seeing the smiles on their faces and the beam on my wife’s face as she bathed in the glow of praise. And there is still a couple of pieces left.  Oh no, did I just say that?  I mean, I’m so glad they ate ALL the cake so that there wouldn’t be any of it getting dry.  Yea, it’s gone. Every last bite. No more. I mean if anybody comes by tomorrow, I’m sorry but we will just have to tell them we are out of cake. What can you do right?

Was that convincing enough?  Didn’t think so. So you’re not really wondering about the status of the cake now are you?  Besides if you don’t want cake we have peanut butter fudge. And lots of it. I don’t know what gets into this woman when she gets around a kitchen but I’m glad it affects her this way. She’s good at it if you know what I mean and I think some of you do. Sorry, no pictures of the fudge. Things were abuzz around here all day so I didn’t think to get any.

We did make progress on one storage shed and the garage. Moving forward tomorrow with more progress.

Aren’t they cute?  Say goodnight girls.

God bless you all.
