6 am.   I am not close to being awake yet.   Not sure why.  Slept pretty good once it cooled down a bit.   I just need 2-3 more hours maybe.   But, time to get on the road.    Must find caffeine.  I did find a pretty patch of daisies to greet me this morning which was nice.

Looks like the corn is coming up. 

12:30 pm.  Made it to receiver without any problems.   Smells like chocolate around here.  

We got a new trip.  It’s picking up candy from here and taking it to Waco Texas but load won’t be ready until 10 pm.   Greg wants to go to truck stop and take a nap and get on the road late to try to avoid some of the holiday traffic.    

DG: But he opted for more sleep. 

1 pm.   Stopped at a Flying J only two miles away.    There is a parking lot full of trucks waiting on trailers.    Oh well.   Going to try to sleep a bit. 

6 pm.  Getting up to eat a bit.   They have a Denny’s.   I’m getting the bourbon chicken but without the blaakolli.  Haha 

Saw this picture.  This is not the evolution of man but evolution of the truck driver after driving all day and then trying to go in to the truck stop.  

DG:  Accirding to my experience we stay crouched a little longer. 

10:00 pm and headed for bed. Getting up at 4:00 to avoid the holiday weekend traffic. We have plenty of time to deliver so no stress, but don’t want to dilly dally.
