Day 477, May 19, 2016; Lakeland, FL;  Cape Coral, FL

DG:  Thank God for grandchildren. Because if we were not on our way  to see our grandkids today I might have thrown a fit already and quite possibly have hurt someone, probably me.

Yesterday we told you about the three hours early they scheduled my pickup. Well that was a clock eater. And the situation we had last night making it to the receiver with no clock left. Then this morning starting one half hour before my scheduled delivery time of 6:00 am, they were finished unloading within a couple of hours but wait, they have a new rule that everything is to be counted before releasing the driver.

09:55 still here. Two hours from home, could’ve been there by now.  Clocks. Please, don’t ever buy me a clock. Zzzzzzz

Well, what do you know, not five minutes after lying down they bring me my paperwork. Most places this is done right after they remove all product from the truck and get an overview of the count, not counting every piece, but rather writing on the BOL “Subject to count”.  And since most all shipments are sealed at the shipper and seal either checked at receiver by security or removed by receiver, there is never hardly any issues. This company however just recently initiated the policy of counting all product before releasing paperwork to the driver meaning we can’t leave until they are finished.

Anyway, we’re here. Praise the Lord.

The birthday girl.

Getting off the bus and seeing Mammie.

Hugs followed. So many hugs.
