Day 474, May 16, 2016;  Youngstown, OH; Coshocton, OH; London, KY

5:30 am.  On the road again.  Finally!   Headed to Coshocton to get a load for Kraft.

9:15 am.  Pulled in to lot but load not ready yet.   So we wait.   It sure is a beautiful day here in Ohio.   A bit cool but bright and sunny.

11:15 am.  Load ready to go.  We have 38,000 pounds of BACON!

DG:  I gotta tell you something. Bacon is good for me. Getting weighed to make sure we are not over gross and balanced according to DOT regulations.

Have one ahead of me.

Weight good. Close to gross but not over, that’s good. And load is balanced almost equally between drives and trailer. Onward ho!!!!

Annie -Cincinnati, Ohio.

Cement mixer putsy putsy.   That’s what Greg’s dad said to Gregory every time they saw a cement mixer when he was little.

DG:  After the clock eating wait for our loaded trailer to arrive and then driving 18 miles in the opposite direction to the nearest scale to make sure our load was “legal” we got as far as London, KY. We stayed here a couple of months ago on a previous trip south. They have a cafeteria style buffet that is just good old home cooking. I think we mentioned that on our previous visit here. They also have Ale 8, which can only be found in Kentucky and then only certain parts. I know I tried to find it in Paducha and other places in the western part of the state, but no go.

Annie – Greg had the fried chicken dinner.  I had the roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy.  I think I had the better dinner.  Haha.  Had enough left over for Precious.   She’ll be glad.

It’s good to be back in Kentucky even if only driving through.   I swear the grass is greener than anywhere else we’ve seen.  Plus the rocks and rolling hills.  I just love it.    It’s good hearing the locals talk too.

9 pm.   Better turn in.  5 am comes early.    Goodnight y’all.
