6 am. Up and time to get on the road. Heading on in to the Lancaster yard today. Load isn’t due until tomorrow so we’ll stop there and do some laundry and wait. It’s a gorgeous morning. Cool 51 degrees. Bright and sunny. Hardly a cloud in the sky. A good day to drive or ride in my case.
Good morning Arkansas.
We stopped at a truck stop in Arkansas. They had one of the prettiest gardens. Made me really miss mine. I took a bunch of pictures. There was a hummingbird flying around but never could get a picture of it.
Happy Spring!
The Arkansas River
Made it to Texas. How can you tell? Horses and Cowboys.

We went to our favorite place in Lancaster to eat. Soulman’s! Got our usual soul bowl. I got the beef brisket this time and Greg got the usual pulled pork and sausage. Yummy yummy yummy!

Now back to yard to do laundry and shower!
DG: Wasn’t here 10 minutes and got a call from local dispatch. “Come and see me as soon as you can”, “10-4”. I had just finished getting my truck washed so went to the drop yard and dropped my trailer. Parked the tractor and walked over to “the hut”. The trip had already been given to someone else as it needed to be dispatched almost immediately. It was going to Jackson, MS and I didn’t have enough time on my clock to make it there by morning. But someone did.
Looks like a full lot this evening. Lots of drivers waiting on trips.
Laundry is in. Just watching tv now waiting on the timer.
There’s something familiar about coming to a terminal as opposed to going to a truck stop. You see familiar faces, all the trucks and trailers are the same, you feel at home. Safe. I don’t know, I just seem to be able to relax more at a terminal.
So that’s it from the great state of Texas. Hope you all had a great day. More tomorrow. Goodnight and God bless.
