6 am. Time to get up and get to shipper. After we get caffeine. It’s pouring the rain this morning. Good thing we don’t have too far to go this morning. Hopefully it will move on by the time we are done unloading.
Good morning Pennsylvania.

We are in Civil War territory.
Imagine this field and the surrounding area with thousands of soldiers.
DG: You can feel the history around here.
Well, I thought we were going to be at receiver for a while. It took them an hour to start unloading but then only 45 minutes to get our trailer emptied and on our way. We don’t have another trip yet so we got on our truck route app to find a place to wait. What a find. Less than ten miles away in York is the 83 Diner. Right off I-83. Imagine that. The reviews were all five stars and the owner gets it, they have about 50 parking spaces. If you eat you park for free, up to 12 hours, but if you don’t eat you can pay for 3, 6, or 12 hours depending on what you need. Seems only fair as it is not a truck stop with fuel and other amenities and you’re at a diner so why not eat? Just makes sense. We just ordered, eggs Benedict for me and French toast for Annie. Will review food later.

The diner is fairly large, about the size of a Bob Evans, and the parking lot is roomy and well maintained.

According to the reviews they even have bathroom facilities for drivers when the restaurant is closed.

Food was delicious. So much better than truck stop fare.
Breakfast consumed. Now we wait. No trip yet. I could use a nap. Maybe a movie.
Took a nap, got a trip, but first, back to the diner for something to go. Check out this dessert case. Mmmmmm!
So we’re in Wilmington, DE and the trailer was already loaded and moved to a drop yard and that is where we found it. You see they load these at the ports, this just happens to be bananas from Colunbia, and then move them to what is called a drop yard. And that is where we are spending the night as I am out of time and it is late.
It’s okay though because I have dessert.

This is baklava with cheesecake in the middle. Wow! Great idea. Goes well with Ale-8.
Well, it’s late and we have to start early so I will sign off and say good night and God bless.
Not much I can add to that except I had the tuxedo cheesecake which was chocolate cake on the bottom and ganache on top. Yummy! Heading to Indiana in the am. Good night y’all.
